- The group decided to establish G. M. Tractors (Pvt.) Ltd (Now known as Universal Tractors Pakistan) in 1996 and signed a technical cooperation agreement with Romanian Manufacturers and Distributors, Universal Tractors (UTB), for the manufacture and distribution of all its models and spare parts.
- Universal Tractors Pakistan also signed a technical cooperation agreement with Farmtrac North America for the manufacture and distribution of all its models and spare parts.
